I'm a dad with a lot going on. The three major areas of life where I split my time are home, work, and church. And when appropriate, I get to indulge in some of those idiosyncratic pleasures that I cherish. Most days though, I have a full plate doing the things truly live for: fathering, teaching, and churching (I'm busy, so it's a word, okay!).

I try to start each day between 4:00 and 4:30 am with a quick shower and some reading. Then it's off to work where I teach eleventh and twelfth grade English, which usually means I should be grading something. At the end of the day, I head home exhausted--teaching and introversion don't mix well. That's when the best part of my day starts: hanging with my wife and kids. We eat, we play, we read, and we watch a little Netfilx. A couple of nights a week, I'm off to small group at church or band practice--I play guitar in the church band. Usually I'm closing my eyes around 11:00 pm to wake back up at 4:00 am to start it all over. It's probably needless to say at this point, but I'm also a coffee enthusiast.

If you've stumbled upon this page, you'll find that I'm just the average guy trying to juggle it all and keep his thoughts straight. I plan to share quick tips, mini-reviews, perspective, and probably a lot of nonsense. Oh, and there may be a photo or two as well.
